The Plaid has unique sports seats (buckets) now. Also carbon fiber on the dashboard and doors. And previous cars like the one in the review the Plaids had a black bezzle on the white seats. (Contrast stitch).

Had my advance a few weeks now and think it's great. Very easy to drive compared to my old deisel Lexus is200d. Pulling off the drive in electric mode (and not disturbing neighbours) then cruising along with no range anxiety is brilliant. The leather feels quality and everything has a solid feel to it. The button gears etc take a bit of getting used to but a pleasure to use once you. It says you mustn't spill anything on the gear change but they've placed the cupholders at the top of it, bizarre. Plenty of elbow room ensures I never irritate my elbow bursitis and storage is tight but managed. The visibility is brilliant, and Honda sensing makes a great safety companion but not as good as the Mrs!

I just don't like this washed out red leather interior, it looks like it came from some brothel, seen it on several pictures and I don't like it, and all 1.5T have it. Standard 1.5 is just too anemic. Seems that only option left for me is diesel, although I personally prefer gas, now I'm driving 1.8 Civic. Seems that it will need look elsewhere.

Idea to set you apart ... Talk more about efficiency and charging curve and less about battery size, WLTP and max. charging speed (less relevant). Keep up the good work.

Please see if this analogy is correct: “inside” a RAV4 PHEV there is a RAV4 HEV: why is it that when the first charge of the PHEV version runs out (the charge that was made in our home socket) the vehicle will automatically start acting as if it were a RAV4 HEV, that is, the car itself will manage the recharging/usage/recharging of the battery while it is moving. Is this correct?

Awesome and detailed review. Just bought a diesel 1.6ltr Blue HDI Allure 2016 model with only 43K miles on the clock, gorgeous little car, beautiful orange and chrome and so efficient. Paid only £4,500 and collected it from Manchester to London where I live. Planning to keep it for at least 4 years until 2028. No road tax is a blessing.

Replaced a splash with this. Miss the coin holder and spectacle holder. Also no heated wing mirrors or intermittent rear wiper. CVT very good but they reduced fuel tank. Also bought a spare tyre.

This is a stunning car. I got mine a couple of weeks ago. I have no complaints.

Reviewers keep repeating “It’s not sporty” which isn’t actually true. With the S+ pack option it really sharpens up power delivery and engages active stabilisers as well as altering steering weight. I have tested the 60 sprint in a shade over 6 seconds, just about bang on 6.5 in ideal conditions. There’s enough shove to push you into your seat so more than previous models. It is quite a quick, effortless motor but it isn’t trying to be a sports car. It’s forte is being a supremely comfortable, refined ride that wafts you about in luxurious comfort and it does this better than just about anything else.

I'm in a 2024 i10 at the moment and I got to this video by searching for a way to turn the forward collision warning and lane control off. It seems that the lane control can only be turned down to make it slightly less aggressive and the FCW cannot be turned off at all. They are both incredibly intrusive, the car freaks out when you cross a white line and doesn't seem to account for the fact that some lines converge. Even when turned down the lane control still tries to turn the steering wheel. The FCW gets triggered when you are slowly coming to a stop in traffic or more dangerously when you approach a metal sign on a bend in the road, slamming on the brakes at the apex which is ridiculous. It's like having a passenger who keeps grabbing the wheel and jamming the brakes on. If it weren't for those two 'safety' features this would be a nice little car which handles motorway speed surprisingly well for it's size in manual spec... My wife had the auto and it is constantly trying to select 5th gear, even at 30mph to be efficient which leaves her unable to accelerate, whereas in the manual you can select 2nd and actually get an account of power to accelerate from 30. You can use the semi-automatic to get over that in the auto but it shouldn't sacrifice so much of the ability to accelerate in favour of high gearing. Essentially this is a great car ruined by gilding the lily with panicky technology and (for the auto) fuel efficiency.

One word: comprehensive!!
